Logical Print & Document Solutions – Press Release – October 2019

Canon Gets Another Ball Rolling for Logical

Logical Print & Document Solutions – Press Release – October 2019

Logical Print & Document Solutions is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with Canon covering the whole of the north of Scotland.

Logical specialises in printing, scanning and copying Multifunctional Devices, Managed Print Services, print and document management and software solutions.

The company operates out of its new, Inverness based head office with offices in Aberdeen, Elgin and Lerwick.

Commenting on the new partnership, director Paul Macleod said: “Canon is a respected, world-wide brand and a household name and is one of the market leaders within our industry. The partnership opens up new routes to market for us e.g. professional print, wide format solutions and high-end scanners and greatly enhances our product and solution portfolio offering, alongside Sharp and Utax.”

Billy Murphy, Canon’s account manager for Scotland, said: “Canon are delighted to welcome Logical as our newest partner in Scotland. We look forward to supporting Paul and his team in developing exciting new opportunities in northern Scotland and in bringing Canon’s productivity improving portfolio to the local business community.”

Logical has also recorded a record turnover for its financial year ending June this year.

In early 2017, the decision was taken, after feedback from customers, to end a partnership agreement with a national company and return to being a completely local business again, thus relaunching as Logical.

Paul Macleod, director of Logical commented: “Becoming 100% local again was a key element for us and our customers going forward, as well as having the opportunity to provide a first-class service which we were in full control of and, as such, we have invested heavily in this important resource.”

Logical’s record turnover can be attributed to several factors and the last 12-months has seen some notable contract wins including multi-device and solution roll outs worth over a million pounds with some major companies based in the north.

Investment in the service division has also paid off including new, bespoke warehouse, workshop and toner and consumable storage facilities and the rolling out of new service management software and device management solutions.

Colin Smith, service & operations manager, explained: “Ongoing service, support and customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us and what we do. Our dedicated service division offers local support and proactive maintenance across the north of Scotland and our service and account management teams have a combined industry experience of more than 150-years.”

The new partnership and record turnover have also sparked a recruitment drive with positions being sought in sales, particularly in the north-east, telesales and logistics. Logical’s telecom’s division, Logical Telecom Solutions, has also proved to be a success with installations from Skye to Caithness to Fife.
